Abstract

Abstract: Spectral sensing analysis of hyperspectral data within range wavelength 350-2500 nanometer are applied in mapping vegetation cover and density. Vegetation maps that resulted by hyperspectral image technique are compared with that resulted by multispectral image technique using methods of vegetation spectral indices (NDVI) and principle components. Results refer that the accuracy of hyperspectral image technique (99%) in mapping vegetation cover and density excel the accuracy of multispectral image technique either vegetation spectral indices method (90%) or principle components method (93%).
